The 2020 election is heating up in Arizona with many candidates running. While the focus is on the presidential election, voters will also decide the outcome of local elections and determine who will occupy the state and Senate representative seats.

Patch has asked candidates to answer questions about their campaigns and will post candidate profiles as Election Day approaches.

Dave Giles, a resident of Gilbert, is running for the United States House of Representatives in District 9.

The most pressing problem facing our state is _______, and that’s what I intend to do about it.

Jobs and the economy. Safety and security. Airedale Healthcare.

What are the critical differences between you and other applicants seeking this position?

I am an engineer with several technical certifications making me technically competent to solve complex problems. I have an MBA with international and national business experience to make responsible and responsible. I have a BA and two MA in Theology (PhD is ABD), and a Reverend showing that I am a man of God.

Competent businessman, man of God. None of what my opponent has.

I have a federal firearms license where I can buy, sell and manufacture firearms and ammunition. The Federal Government Trust Me (FFL). The state of Arizona trusts me (CCW -Conceal Carry Weapons Permit). The county and local government trusts me. I ask the folks at CD9 to trust me too.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as proof that you can handle this job?

Several degrees. Business experience. Ability to engage with people.

What steps should the state government take to stimulate economic recovery from the coronavirus pandemic for local businesses?

Enable businesses to meet the needs of the population.

How will you respond to calls for racial justice and police reform?

Educate the public and police about the whole perspective without media bias.
